Willoughby & William English Walling
Posted by: Richard Walling (ID *****1066) Date: February 08, 2004 at 10:15:36

Dear List:

Willoughby Walling was a doctor in Louisville, KY and Ambassador to Scotland in the 1880s. His son, William English Walling was a noted Socialist, and then later, a Progressive. William English W. had a brother Willoughby, who in turn had children, including Cheeves Walling, noted chemist at Columbia and other universities. Can someone please relate or connect this branch with the Wallings descended from Thomas of Rhode Island? Just the basics would be a start for now. I am a Thomas Walling descendant, but of course a cousin to Elisha and Jesse, etc. of the Tennessee and southern branches of the family.

Thanks.
Rich Walling of East Brunswick, NJ
