The Elisha was 1760 Elisha s/o of Thomas Wallen and Mary Cox.He was a nephew of Elisha (LH).
I don't think anyone knows for sure who this Lucy was.
1760 Elisha had a daughter Lucy b. in 1794.She never married and was still in his household (age 56)in the 1850 Census.
Daniel Huff lived next door to Elisha in the 1840 Claiborne Co. TN Census.
There was also a Lucy Wallen (1830 Lee Co. VA Census)with a daughter Margaret (too old to be Elisha's daughter - Margaret who married Ely). The relationship to 1760 Elisha isn't known exactly; sister, sister-in-law, etc.
Betty Lee (a Wallen researcher) said she thought perhaps John Honey's involvement was a moral one rather than a romantic one.
I think it could have been as simple as Elisha's not having the money to pay and a friend was helping.Elisha applied three times for a Rev. War pension.
