I don't know who the parents of your Lucy Walling are, but I've been interested in her for a while. My particular interest is another Walling family (John Walling b abt 1764, d 1830s married to a Huldah ___) who was in Ashtabula County OH at least from 1820 - 1830+. So of course I have wondered whether your Lucy Walling might be connected in some way to him.

My understanding is that Lucy Walling married William Piper in May 1835 in Ashtabula County OH. You probably knew that that same month in Ashtabula County, there was also a marriage between a Charlotta Walling and a John Piper. Both marriages were performed by the same person, and they were recorded the same day. One marriage was shown as May 7, and the other as May 17. I have wondered if perhaps the record is a mistake and this was actually a double wedding on the 17th of May, perhaps sisters marrying brothers.

I am so happy to see your message inquiring about Lucy. Do you have further information about Lucy Walling? Do you know about her later life, where she lived after 1835, and when/where she died? Do you know anything about the Charlotta Walling?
