I cannot make a connection with your family. I think my reply should have been addressed to Carolyn Hostler's post followup to you, dated September 17,2001.
My interest is in her statement 'one of our ancestors didn't follow Lars from New York, and has never been found since.
Lars married his cousin Christina Maria...a daughter of Jonas Wallin.
Christina came to America in 1885 with 3 children, Carl Oscar, Emma, and Anna. Could this be the Carl you are looking for? Is your family the one we are looking for?'
Our family connection is with Lars Petter Wallin from Gotland, Sweden who went to New York in April 1882.
Christina Maria and her father Jonas Wallin are the sister and father of our ancestor also named Lars Petter Wallin.
Our Christina Maria was born on the 11/10/1843 on a farm at Liffedarve, Gotland, Sweden.
Please let me know if the above ties in with your family
Noel Creedon
