I'm a little familiar with Ruth Wallin/Walling. Have you seen the NGSQ article (June 1997) by Wm Saxbe on the Walling family? There is a reference to Ruth in it. It suggests she might be a daughter of a William Walling who was b abt 1687. It's a simply marvelous article and may be very helpful to you. I wonder, though, after looking at some of the New Hartford deeds and church records, if Ruth might not be the daughter of the William Walling who's a son of the Wm Walling mentioned in the article. Also, in the book FULLERS, SISSONS AND SCOTTS there is a reference to Ruth, noting that she m Otis Ensign, that Otis was killed in battle Dec. 1775, Wyoming Valley PA. It names 7 children of Otis & Ruth, all b New Hartford.
Could you fill us in as to the info that you have on Ruth? Do you have speculations as to her parents might be? Do you know when and/or where she died?
