Jacob and Elizabeth Haverstack Wallick came from Pennsylvania, in the days of being single, and were wedded in Tuscarawas County in 1817. Jacob Wallick died in 1877, at the age of 90. He came to Van Wert County, Ohio, in 1852 and purchased 80 acres of land. Cemetery Information: Jacob and Elizabeth Wallick are buried in the Granger/Rowland Cemetery in York Twp., Van Wert County, Ohio. Also in this cemetery is buried John Wallick, d. 1906, age 94, Annie Wallick, d. 1877, age 30, and Rebecca Ann Wallick, d. 1860, age 33. Jacob Wallick's son David Wallick married Mary Ann Smith, a daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Little)Smith in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, March 20, 1851. David and Mary Ann Wallick lived in Van Wert Co., Ohio. David Wallick is buried in the Tomlinson Cemetery, Union Twp., Van Wert County, Ohio. David Wallick died at age 83 years, 6 months, 3 days. D. May 24, 1911. David Wallick was a private in Company H 193rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. (Civil War). His wife Mary Ann (Smith) Wallick is buried beside him. She died at age 71 years, 7 months, 29 days. D. October 02, 1896. Obituary: Death of an Old Citizen Mrs. David Wallick, of York Township, died Friday afternoon. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon. Interment at the Tomlinson Cemetery. Leaving the house at 1:00. Oct. 6, 1896. Mary Ann Wallick was a sister to Adam Smith who married Margaret Shouse February 24, 1846 in Carroll Co., Ohio. Adam and Magaret Smith moved to Putnam Co., Ohio, in 1860 and are buried at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Monroe Twp., Putnam Co., Ohio.
