No, it does not mean I am trying to "free up" anything, sir.I am just trying very hard to be accurate in assessing data.It is too easy to make wrong assumptions on genealogy, as we all know. There are two children named James dying on different dates in different years in the same parish registerBut there is only one James, son of John, being baptized in the register. Why wasn't the other James beptized? All the other children were. One James on the burial register is listed as the son of John. The other is listed as the son of Mr. John.I am questioning the difference in the title. This may or may not be significant. Most all of the Wallers I have looked at have sons named Edmund, William, Thomas, and John, like many English families. This makes straightening out the families more difficult, as I am sure you are aware.
