Walden's Ford

I was in Gatlinsburg, TN, in Sevier county last month, and I kept seeing signs for "Walden Ford" and "Walden Creek" and "Walden Ridge". Was this part of the Elisha Wallen discovery legacy, or was there a Walden who did that sort of thing?
