My great-grandmother Sarah Wallen b. 1825 TN spelled her name Wallen and Walden. Said her husband was Elisha but no proof. Elisha Walden b. abt. 1823 TN was in Logan Co., AR in 1877.? He and a son were supposed to have died during the Civil War of the black smallpox. Sarah went to Indian Territory, claimed Indian heritage (mother was full-blood) and died there. Children: Sarah Elizabeth m. W.W. Palmer, Marte, Dolf, S.D. 20 Aug 1855, J?.B. 23 Feb 1846, --?L 20 July 1849, --? 22 ? 1852. Possibly more, but Bible was old and hardly readable. Dolf lived around McCurtain, OK.
