The John I was referring to was John Walling born 1750 who was a brother to the Longhunter, Elisha.
There is much mystery about his his first wife and it from her that I know I descend from.
I do not belong to the Walling Heirs Assoc. but I do try to stay in touch with the Wallen/Wallin family group that gathers every year in Rogersville TN.
My line is from William and we are about 99% sure that a son Elisha survived the attack and are still seeking more info about a possible daughter Hannah.
There is a cemetary in McClemore's Cove of Walker County GA that I have been to. The House that my ancestor Campbell Wallen built about 1850 still stands there. Among the Wallen graves is also some Cherokee graves and it is believed that Chief Blue Bird is buried there.
Please feel free to email me and I will share what I have with you!
Linda Sue
