Robert and Arzelia Wallen were my great-grandparents,also. My grandmother was their daughter Fanny Wallen. She was my mother's mother. Gr. Grandma and Gr. Grandpa Wallen moved to Ohio from Kentucky when my mother was about 10. Her mother and step-father were relocating as he worked for the railroad. Mom had spent much of her childhood with her grandparents (Rob Lee and Arzelia). They decided to move with Fanny and her husband to Ohio. They eventually ended up in Indiana. Gr. grandma supposedly had some Cherokee blood, but her maiden name was Trusty. Mom said she was a mid-wife and was often called on to help when people were sick. Gr. grandpa was over 6' 4" tall. Although I didn't know gr. grandma, my mother said she was a wonderful person. I know great grandpa was a treasure. He was one of the kindest persons I've ever met. My mother still misses them both. Gr. Grandma died in the 50's. Gr. grandpa died in the 70's. If you would like more info, please e-mail.
