It is probable that my William and your Elisha where the only two children of Mary Roberts. John remarried after her death to Elizabeth Roberts and they had many children together. One a Jesse who moved to Tennessee and then to Walker County GA with his nephew, my Campbell. It is not known if there was any relation between Mary and Elizabeth but my guess is probably cousins.
Our John Wallen was killed by Indians also but later on in Tennessee in an area above Hamilton County ( Chattanooga)McMinn County TN. I have not found many records about the family in Hamilton County as of yet but there is a Wallens Mountain there. John was found almost completely decomposed by his sons. They where able to identify him only by the buttons on his shirt.
I am sorry to say that I know very little about your Elisha but there is someone named Larry doing research that also decends from him. I will try and locate his email address for you.
