I think not. There were a number of Wallens of quite different origins in Canada at that time. Dr James Smith Wallen was born in Jamaica, came to Canada in 1834 after Aberdeen University and the Sorbonne and had 4 children by two different wives. His sister Caroline was my great grandmother and lived and died in England. His eldest daughter, Mary, born 1842 was married to an American called Morris. JS Wallen has an entry in "Commemorative Biographical Record of the County of Kent", Ontario, JH Beers & Co, 1904 and in WilliamCanniff, "The Medical Profession of Upper Canada, 1783-1850: an historical narrative with original documents relating to the profession including some brief biographies", Toronto 1894
Send me your email address and I will send you an attachment in word with all my material on the family.
But it looks as if his only descendants would be by Mary Morris. I have not yet found any. I live in hope.
