FANNY TYREE who married a WALLEN
Posted by: George Kay Date: March 03, 2000 at 11:16:01
  of 1121

I am looking for information on a Fanny Tyree born about 1787 in NC. Fanny was the daughter of a John Tyree and Fanny Vowell. John Tyree died in Wilkes CO NC in 1793.

John Tyree and Fanny Vowell had the following children
Joel Tyree born about 1766
Susannah Tyree born about 1778 married Ellias Pennell
Martha Tyree born about 1775
Joseph Tyree born about 1780 went to Alabama
Mary Tyree born about 1781. Married Joseph Bridges in Carter Co TN on 16 Jun 1798.
David Tyree [twin] born about 1785 married 1 Rachel Ann Rogers 2 Catherine 3 Nancy Ann Jones.
Jesse Tyree [twin]born about 1785 went to Alabama.
Fanny Tyree born about 1787 married a _____ Wallen.
Hannah Tyree born about 1790/92 married a _____ Bowen.

I descend from a Fanny born about 1785 in NC who married a Joseph Wallen. Joseph Wallen died in Scott Co VA in 1821. Fanny laterr remarried a William Bishop. Fanny last apprears in the 1870 Letcher Co KY census living in the household of her son-in-law, Perrin Tyree Bowen and her daughter, Hannah.
Rachel Ann Rogers who married the above David Tyree is also living in this household.
I highly suspect that that Fanny Tyree and Fanny who married Joseph Wallen are the same Fanny.

Does anyone have information that could clear up this mystery?

Carmen Kay
