Duffield, VA Bobby Gene Wallen, 62, Robinette Valley,
passed away, Thursday, February 19, 2009.

Bobby was born in Sullivan Co TN, on October 12, 1946, the
son of Junior Wallen and the late Alice Eula Gillenwater
Wallen. He was a graduate of Gate City High School and
loved grouse hunting, farming and spending time with his
family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Alice Wallen, he was preceded
in death by several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his father, Junior Wallen, Duffield, VA;
brother, Charles Wallen and wife, Phyllis, Duffield, VA;
nephew, David Wallen, Mt. Carmel, TN; special cousins,
Bonnie Frank and Faye Vaughn. and a host of cousins and

The family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday,
February 22, 2009 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral
services were conducted at 7 p.m., in the Gene Falin
Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Johnny
Duncan and the Rev. Garry Hood officiating. The Lee Smith
Singers provided the music.

The family were to meeting at the funeral home at 11 a.m.,
Monday to go in procession to the graveside service.

Graveside services conducted at 12 a.m. noon, Monday,
February 23, 2009, at the Gillenwater Family Cemetery, Ft.
Blackmore, VA, with Jimmy Williams, J. C. Wallen, Dave
Frank, Larry Wallen, Troy Gillenwater, Josh Gillenwater,
Matthew Gillenwater, Trinity Gillenwater and Jimmy Ray
Carter to serve as pallbearers.
