I was mistaken. It was Herman D. Wallace, born September 23, 1901, who disappeared and his whereabouts were never known.Hubbard E. Wallace was his twin brother.Still there may be a connection to the Hubbard Wallace you mention.Herman and Hubbard's father was William J. Wallace, born June 30, 1866, in "Clinton" Tennessee.William J. Wallace's father was M.D.Wallace.Another possible connection is that you mentioned David C. Wallace was a brickmason.John Everette Wallace, brother of Hubbard and Herman, was a brickmason and builder.I understand from my family that this was the profession of the Wallace family.
Thank you for your post.If you have any additional information about this family, I would very much appreciate it.
