thanks Shirley! All I have on William B. Wallace is the copy of the land office record . . . William B. Wallace was a lieutenant in the Virginia military for 3 years, and was granted $1,000 acres in Ohio, from the description, appears to be around the Champaign Co. ohio area. The land was surveyed in March 1795 and the land warrant signed in July 29, 1797.I'm surmising that perhaps William B. might be the father of Edward L. -- but, then again, maybe not :)
There were a couple of other Wallace's who obtained some land for their service to Virginia -- Caleb Wallace obtained 500 acres from a William suddarth, Richard McHee, and Charles Milton patent -- his patent claim dated November 1803; and a Thomas Wallace was a lieutenant for 3 years and obtained 1,150 acres in May 1803.Does this help at all?Or just cloud the waters further?
Thanks for responding!
