Maj. James D. Wallace
I have the following record: "Wallace, James (Maj.), 74, d. 2/22/1849 at the home of his son-in-law, Isaac T. Minard, Esq in Syracuse" [from Utica Daily Gazette, 2-23-1849]; and also from the New York Evening Post, a note on 2/23/1849, "Syracuse, Feb 20, Maj James D. Wallace, 74, formerly of this city"
In 1850, Helen Wallace was living in the household of Isaac Minard. I believe she was James' wife. There are two possible daughters identified in the census: Elizabeth, Isaac's wife, and Helen Wallace who is young enough to the the elder Helen's daughter.
I am seeking additional information about James and Helen Wallace and their family.
Thanks,
Charlie
