Yes, that's exactly what I'm thinking. Probably Eunice/Dumas was the daughter of Jacob Cross and Hannah from the 1850 & 1860 censuses. She had married an unknown Mr Wall who probably died and she moved back into her parents' home. Later she m2 Henry Giles Cross and had more children by him.
You are right that first cousin marriages did occur and were even common in some families. This was probably a cousin marriage of some sort but not necessarily first cousins.
