Wall ancestors. Seymour, Texas
George Edward Wall (died 8-25-1915 in Gainesville, TX) m. Lydia Clendenen (b.5-22-1866 d.12-29-1943) Married:7-19-1886 in Albany, TX. They settled in Seymour, Texas. Nine of twelve children survived: twins Rob and Rube Wall, Mrs. Buster Fite(her own name unlisted); John Wall, T.K. Wall; Mrs. Viola Branon; Hardy Wall, Bill Wall, Edd Wall.
Lydia had a sister, Mattie Peek, and a brother, Jake Clendenen of Lawton, OK, and a half-sister, Mrs. Cynthia McElroy of Altus, OK.
I am the granddaughter of Rob Wall; my mother was Dorothy Fay Wall. Her sisters were Nollie May and Barbara Jean.
Lydia Clendenen was Chickasaw Indian, but I've not been able to find much on her because in those days it was socially prudent to conceal your Indian heritage.
I haven't found any info earlier than the marriage of George E. Wall to Lydia Clendenen. E-mail if you have any connection! Thanks. Chris Davis, Alvarado, Texas [email protected]
