Delma, I tried to look at your family & connect - unseccessful, but I have the info in my files & will follow when I can make time. Below is a listing as I understand your James' family. Walker GenForum # 13846 gave info about siblings of James. That reference said that William M. had a son William M. Walker, and several of the family moved to Leon Co, TX between 1860-1870, including William M. that was corrected to descendants of James with posting #27528 by Delma Alexander.

2. James2 Walker (?1) was born 1823 in AL, and died Bet. 1852 - 1853 in Sabine Parish, LA. He married Rebecca Cutright Bef. 1844. She was born Abt. 1826 in MS.
Notes for James Walker:
The 1870 census of DeSoto Parish Ward 4, showed: Thomas Walker 22; Wesley Walker 26; Thomas Matthew Walker 23; Augustine Walker 22 LA & Mary Sessions b 1864. Augustine appears to have been Thomas J., and needs to be investigated. These siblings were at household # 300, and their mother was at household # 296.
Eliza M. C. Walker was not listed in the 1870 census with the siblings, nor with her mother, so it is possible that Eliza married a Sessions and is now deceased, leaving the 6 year old child Mary Sessions who was born 1864, when Eliza would have been about 15. (Needs researching)
Notes for Rebecca Cutright:
Walker GenForum # 27638 said that her maiden name was "Murry." Posting # 13846 said that her name was Rebecca Cutright.
The 1860 census of Natchitoches, LA shows Rebecca living with her new husband Richard R. Green, and unfortunately all the children are shown with a last name of Green. The two youngest child in the 1860 census was Mary J. born when Richard Green was only 18, the next was Andrew J. who was born in 1858. One can assume that Richard and Rebecca married when he was about 21, when there was a 4-year span between children. Consequently, the assumption was made that James Walker had died between 1853-1857. 1860 census: Richard R. Green, 26 b LA; Rebecca 33 b MS; (children all born LA) Wesly 16; Wm M. 14; Thomas J. 12; Eliza 10; Mary J. 8; Mary (Margaret in the 1870 census) 6; Andrew J. Green 2.
In 1870, Rebecca was living alone in DeSoto Parish, Ward 4, LA, which would likely mean that Richard was deceased. Children: Mary J. 17 Margaret 16, Jackson 12, Sarah 9, Amanda 7, and Elizabeth Green 70 who was probably Richard's mother.
