Brian, again you wrap it up and put a bow around it.

My post # 27582 was to primarily ask if the DNA Group Benjamin J(esse?) Walker b abt 1788 and in the 1830 census McNairy Co., TN, who named a son, Hardridge b abt 1815, could be the son of Jesse Walker & Delilah West, Benjamin b abt. 1788, instead of b abt. 1791?

.....A Benjamin who would have named children, whose names we have: Joseph; Hardridge; Linda; Elander (? after gm); Jane; Anthony; John. There may be a William in the area also b abt. 1805.

I had learned that the Benjamin b abt. 1791 was not Jesse & Delilah's family and removed them from my tree:
...        Benjamin Walker       1791 - 1858
.......              +Mary Polly Graham       1784 - 1857

We have made major inroads using DNA, but we participants need to correct lineage in the DNA web site.

We have TWO unrelated Walker GROUPS (GR 5 & GR 8)claiming same Wigton Scotland ancestors, John Walker & Jane McKnight.
Examples excerpted next, which includes Benjamin b 1791:

Group 5, Walker DNA study. Note the reference to Mary Polly Sehorn - ?Seahorn:

"Benjamin Walker, Sr. b ca 1749 VA. May have had 4 or 5 sons who lived in middle TN. Benjamin Walker's name may be John Benjamin Walker and he may have gone by the name Jack Walker.

Alexander Walker b ca 1662 and Janet Cowan b 1683
