I am studing the Walker family of Dr Thomas Walker and his wife Mildred Meriwether. This family has ties to Meriwether Lewis and the Lewis and Clark Expedition out of Pittsburgh in 1803. I only answered this because one of the last names in this family is Leon sometimes spelled De Leon.

Most likely a coincidence.
