I am looking for my paternal, biological grandfather. I do not know much about him other than his name is James Leon Walker, from Pittsburgh, PA. He bore two sons with my paternal grandmother, Helen Downey-Pelles... James Leon Walker, Jr. (my father) and Jack Pelles (he was given my grandmother's first married surname). He and my grandmother were never married and he left either right before or right after my uncle Jack was born in 1951. My father, James Leon Walker, Jr. was born March 21, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA. I don't know if this detail will help, but Helen Downy-Pelles also had 2 older sons (from her previous marriage) when she met and began dating James Leon Walker.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone out there has any info. I am just curious about where I come from all around, plus I would like to be able to tell my daughter where she comes from when she is older. I can't seem to get a straight story out of the family that I have that is still living. James Leon Walker, Jr. (my father) died when I was 12 years old, May 31, 1994 and now that I'm an adult I am very curious but have no one to ask. Thank you.
