A couple of things jumped out at me in reading your post about William Walker. First of all was the rev War connection to S. CArolina when his widow was from North carolina. Having said that let me direct you to a 1803 will of John Walker, Rowan County. In his will he leaves his far "in Chester S Carolina ( turkey Creek) to his son WIlliam. His other sons, John and Moses he left 5 shillilngs. Moses and John had both resided in Chester S. CAr prior to migrating to Ga with others in the family. I have been able to track John ( my 5th ggrandfather)and Moses and their sister Hannah Kelly. I have NOT been able to located William. There was obviously a back and forth connection to the Rowan County N. Carolina area and Chester S. CArolina area. My Old John was born in Pennsylvania( Abt 1760) ( according to the 1850 census and he was 90 YOA at the time. His father John, left the N.Car will). Chester, York and Lancaster areas of S, Carolina were settled primarily by Scotch Irish of these same named counties of Pennsylvania. Could your William be the son of John Walker who left the will in 1803 in Rowan county N Car? There are many references to William Walker in Wilkes county Ga as well as Oglethorpe.
