Before my father died he mentioned hearing of old Walke homes in tidewater Virginia and Barbados. Some people doing research on one (I think he called Physics Hill) tracked Walke decendants down to my family in Pittsylvania County Virginia. I'm the great great grandson of James Collier Walke. He was the son of John R. Walke but evidently not by his wife. That didn't sit well with my bible belt relatives but genealogy can turn out that way. My father was good friends with a cousin Reginald Walke when growing up in Pittsylvania County. Reginald moved to Florida and I believe that line has died out. No other Walke last named decendents are left in Pittsylvania County that I know of. The other Walke decendents are very numerious. Many still own land in that area and stay in contact. Lots of professional people.
You are welcome to use the genealogy at my website . The software is good and if you want to people to it I can set you up with an id with edit capablity. The software can export to gencom files.
