My husband is descended from Richard Walkdebn thru his son Clarance (brother to Fred) Have lots of info on the family both here and in England.Am also interested in swapping information about Frederick Walkden and Martha Sperring and the Pearses. I have been endeavouring to contact Richard's family members for some time and have managed to get contacts on most of the lines but have not made contact with yours till now. Please let me know if you are interested in sharing info. PS Have not seen the South Beach Pioneers book. How can I access this?
PS Dougan Ravenscroft is percy's brother (I There were at least 13 kids that I've found 2 of whom went to WA ( my Clarance spent some time there too--interesting!!)Did you know that Richard walkden had land in Tumut in 1857 and that a whole NSW connection of the Walkden's began here- including your Frederick's first marriage. I ahve had contact with Margaret Brennan's family down there.Did you know they eloped? There's so much more so let me know how we can help each other in this huge story. There is even a NZ connection here.
