Morning Louise

Incidentally, Heol Hen = Street, Old, ie Old Street.

=========================

In the 1861 Census, there are two JE entries in Llanelli; but neither fit readily to your information, suggesting that the family had left prior to that Census - which seems to make sense for that long sea voyage.

==========================

Even less certainty in the 1841 Census, only Llanelli possibility-

Also tried for the father - several possibilities but none in Llanelli.

=================================

Trying for Margaret Samuels, three possibilities-

Household SAMUEL, Margarett 1835 6 F Llanelly Carmarthenshire VIEW VIEW
Household SAMUEL, Margeret 1832 9 F Llanelly Carmarthenshire VIEW VIEW
Household SAMUEL, Margreat 1831 10 F Llanelly Carmarthenshire VIEW VIEW

Details of the 1832 entry as it seems the more likely-

1841 census transcription details for: Union Row, Llanelly, Hengoed

=================================

I have also tried to find their Marriage on the same site - but only one possibility-

Civil Registration event: Marriage
Print Close Name: SAMUEL, Margaret
Registration district: Swansea
County: Glamorganshire
Year of registration: 1848
Quarter of registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
Spouse's last name: Not available before 1912
Volume no: 26
Page no: 715
MarriageFinder: Margaret Samuel married one of the following people:

EVANS, Evan
JENKINS, Benjamin
JENKINS, Daniel
RICHARDS, John
EVANS, Hannah
THOMAS, Mary
WILLIAMS, Charlotte

Euan is an alternative for John,

Llanelli is relatively close to Swansea (Abertawe)

==============================

I have also tried to find the Death of his father.

However without counting accurately, there are around 80 such Deaths from 1825 to 1900, in Llanelli alone.

No obvious Marriage 1820 to 1830.

==============================

Note that it is the Welsh "double l" in Llanelli/y.
