I'm researching my Grandmother's family from Glamorgan, Wales. I have an old letter from a family member that gives a very small brake down of our history. This is what I know to be 90% accurate:

David Thomas born 7 May 1856 in Glamorgan.

FATHER: Meyrick Thomas
MOTHER: Mary Elizabeth (last name unknown)
SISTER: Catherine

I don't have birth dates on them.

In this letter it states that Meyrick passes away & Mary Elizabeth marries a Thomas Ellis of Cardiff & they later lived in Nelson, S. Wales. They had 1 child, Evan Ellis (unknown d.o.b.) who was a soldier that never married.

David married an Alice Morgan (d.o.b. April 1859) in Pentre, Wales on 30 June 1879 & while in Wales they had 2 children, Mary (d.o.b. abt. 1882) & Morgan George (d.o.b. 17 March 1884). They moved to the U.S.A. after Morgan George was born. I also found an 1881 census that shows a William Morgan (d.o.b. abt. 1836) boarding with David, Alice & Mary. Not clear if this William is Alice's father or not.

Catherine married a Thomas Adams & had 6 children. It's unclear if Catherine & Thomas moved to the states or stayed in Wales. I also don't have their children's names.

Ann married a McDonald & had 3 children, Mary, Margaret & Thomas. I don't know McDonald's first name or birth dates for any of them. I do know that Ann later married a David Powell in the U.S.A. So I know she immigrated, but don't know when & if her marriage to McDonald was in the states or in Wales.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
