(I think you repeated your Reuben line in you message. Is there another child's name which it might be useful to know?) Hmmm, DOLIER is not a common name, but I can find very few useful leads. Nothing in Wales (except the suggested entries re your family). Consider the following: 1) The IGI has some Dolier entries in 1700s in Ireland. Specifically the old testament names Isaac and Jeremiah. Such a family might well have used the name Reuben as well. 2) The National Archives have the PCC wills. Explained on website: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/wills.asp While searching for DOLIER using wildcards DO*L*ER to pick up other spellings I came across the following which is interesting: Will of John Douillier of Saint Mary le Strand , Middlesex Date 10 July 1723 Catalogue reference PROB 11/592 This will is only £3.50 to download, and would be of the right time period to possibly mention young Edward if he was by any chance a relative. 3) With this new possible spelling DOUILLIER, I searched IGI again and found a few Huguenot christenings in London 1710-20ish, but not any of your names. Hope may be useful ... It's not easy researching this time period; you have to clutch at straws to investigate ... and hope ... Good luck! Sonia Notify Administrator about this message?
