John Lloyd in America

I am seeking a John Lloyd who appeared in Dutchess Colunty, New York, USA, sometime before or aroubd 1760. He died in West Springfield, Massachusetts, USA in 1817, at age 85. If these numbers are correct, he was born in 1817 - but where?

He married ca 1762 Eunice Rowley Johns, after Eunice's first husband, Benjamin Johns, died of Smallpox. John and Eunice Lloyd had 8 children: James, Ann, Rachel, John, Henry, Anthony, Eunice and Sally, between 1764 and 1775. We have unsubstantiated rumors that John was born in Wales, attended Oxford University and was a Physician.

Because John/Eunice's first son was named James, we think John's father may also have been named James.

Thanks for any help.

Bruce Lloyd
