I am searching for my 4th great grandmother married name ____ West. This is what I know according to my great aunt who wrote this information in 1962. Lady West was Welsh and became Lady-in-Waiting (Bedchamber) to Queen Charlotte. My great grandmother who was Virginia West was born in Virginia in 1814 in Virginia. Virginia's grandmother Lady _____ West gave a piece of cloth to Virginia that came from Queen Charlotte's bedcurtain when new ones were made. Virginia kept and passed down this piece of cloth that came from Queen Charlotte's bed curtain. I do not know what Lady West's maiden name was. She was not know as West when she was Lady-in -Waiting. She was Welsh. Family history states that our family was related to Benjamine West who was Royal Painter for King George. I have not been able to make a connection. Benjamin's father John West married for the third time in England. The name of his third wife is unknown.
