Thank you very much for your replies William.
The information is interesting, as it has also thrown up a link to the Luckham family.
You also found the registration of the birth of my mother Jean Olwen Goodyear and her brother William who was a flight sergeant in the R.A.F. and died in 1942. He is buried in achurchyard in France along with the rst of the crew.(I was 7 years old,but remember him with great affection.)

My grandmother was Gwendoline Mary Davies whose information you also found. She and my grandfather were married in St John's Church, Cardiff.

You have certainly given me a great deal to look at more closely. The name I assumed was Caroline (known as at Carrie) is my error. I always thought it was a diminutive form of Caroline, but obviously she was Catherine who married William Davies.
