Prunty family 1750 +or- 20 years Wales

I believe that my Prunty family came from wales in about 1750. The family consisted of a mother and father and 3 or 4 boys named John, William, Thomas and Robert. The family history we have says they came on a ship named "the unicorn". They settled in Virginia and most researchers feel that they came from Ireland. When I typed the name Prunty into different search engines, the name ap David came up. There was a David Prunty in the colonies in NY or VA in 1750 who might be the start of the line. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
