Greetings,
I am responding to a post almost 10 years old. Hope you get this. My great Grandmother was Mary Walanczyk from Poland. She married John Gucwa, I believe in Budapest where my grandfather Joe was born. They came to the US in the first years of the 1900's and settled in Detroit before moving to upper Wisconsin. I have siblings for Mary listed as John, Thomas,Jacob, Anna, Margaret, and Sophie (m. Mastela). Could this be your John? My Polish roots have been a brick wall for more then 15 years.
Kerry
