I am looking for information on the family of William Whale (Wale) which is shown in the 1871 census as follows:

RG10/4654, Page 14, Bunford, Thurlstone, Penistone, Yorks:
William Whale, age 38, born Warwickshire. Occupation- navvy
Elizabeth Whale, age 29? Born Atherstone, Warwickshire
John Whale, age 16 born Atherstone, Warwickshire
Arthur Whale, age 14, born Atherstone, Warwickshire
George Whale, age 7, born Northampton(shire?)
Frederick Whale, age 5, born Northamptonshire
Alice Whale, age 2, born Millbrook,Cheshire

According to the IGI, a William Wale was christened Mancetter (near Atherstone) 21 April 1883 (parents Edward and Patience). A William Wale married an Elizabeth Lees 29 Mar 1855, Atherstone.

An Arthur Wale was born Mancetter 11 Jan 1858. Parents - William/Elizabeth.

An Alice Mary Whale was christened 4 July 1869, Stalybridge (Millbrook near by), Cheshire.

No trace of this family can be found in the 1881 Census (as Wale/Whale/Wells).

More information would be appreciated.
