A Robert H. Waldrop was in Madison Co., NC in 1910 and 1920. He was married to Laura J. They had children, John, Lillie, Margurette, Delia, Eula, William R.
They had STEP children Violet Worsham, Sarah C and Howard.
In 1910, Laura claimed she had bore 4 children. So, the Worsham children were not her's by a previous marriage, unless she misunderstood what the census enumerator was saying. They weren't Robert's children or their name would have been Waldrop, not Worsham.
This may be worth investigating.
The only other Violet I found was in Crawford Co., IL and I think she was actually a Viola, daughter of Albert S. Waldrop.
Neither of these had anything to do with the railroad.
