I believe that Samuel Walding of Dale Co Alabama was the son of Benjamin Walding and his wife, Sarah, of Wayne Co NC. Benjamin Walding named Samuel as his son in his will written in 1789, probated Jan 1795, Wayne Co NC (Wayne Co NC Will Book A, pp. 545-546). Benjamin Walding also named his son-in-law as Edmond Beaird, husband of Sarah Walding Beaird.

1786 Benjamin Walding on Wayne Co NC tax list

1790 Benjamin & Samuel Walding, Edmond Beaird all listed next to each other on Wayne Co NC census

1795 Edmond Beaird sells out in Wayne County and moved to Hancock Co GA

1798 Samuel Walding and mother Sarah sell Benjamin's old farm in Wayne County

1800 Samuel Walding in Johnston Co NC on the census

1804 Samuel Walding buys land from brother-in-law Edmond Beaird in Hancock Co GA

1807 Samuel Walding living near Edmond Beaird in Baldwin Co GA

1808 - 1817 Samuel owns 85 acres of land in Baldwin County GA on Nancy's branch; he is found on the tax lists for 1808, 1809, 1810, 1811, 1813, 1814, 1815, 1816, 1817.

1817 John Walding pays a poll in the same district of Baldwin County in which Samuel Walding lived. This is the first time he appears on the tax list, so he must have reached the age of 21 in this year. He surely must be the son of Samuel Walding

1818 Samuel Walding gone from Baldwin County GA

1830 Samuel, John, Benjamin Walding in Dale Co AL

What happened to Samauel Walding after 1830?
