Perhaps, somewhere along the line one of your ancestors changed the name from Waldeck to Walduck, Perhaps not. I only know that I can trace Waldeck back to 1204 A.D. Before that the ancestors were called the counts of Schwalenberg.
Good luck at finding this out for sure, but that is the fun of it. Isn't it?
