louis waldeck born 1835 in curthespan? (not sure of spelling hard to read census). i believe he came here about 1854 at the age of 19. he married dorothea born 1842 same town germany. in 1880 he lived at 364 east 4th st manhattan, and his occupation was listed as beer salon located at 38 ave d.
had children named
conrad born jan, 1862 NY died may 21 1896 at 269 rutledge st 4th floor brooklyn. 1880 occupation was clerk
fred williams born 1865 ny. 1880 occupation as book keeper
dorothea born 1870 ny , 1880 listed at school
henry j. born 1872 ny died oct 10th 1951. henry married barbara beyersdorfer born may 21 1876 died march 1942. married sept 1894. interesting fact about barbaras sister, lena, she married a charles waldeck on april 28th 1889. charles signed his name as carl metchrin? werner waldeck, fathers name is listed as henry conrad waldeck and mother is kathamie eiskirch...(not to sure of spelling) charles residence is 517 e. 16th st. age is 23 and birthplace is (again not sure of spelling) looks like allfield germany? lena and charles had a daughter named may who died at the age of 15 in 1907.
i come from henrys line..i'm a little confused about who his father really is, in the 1880 census i have louis as the father bit on his marriage lisence i have conrad. henry and barbara grew up next to each other, and her father johann beyersdorfer was a muscian. henry and barbara had children named henry, may, louis, and edward, edward is my father.
