I have a little info about Edward. He was a boiler maker at San Francisco in 1860 with wife Barbara and daughters Sarah and Theresa. In 1880 he is listed as a boiler maker at Vallejo CA without a family. Edward James Walcott registered to vote at San Francisco in 1890, giving his age as 64, born Ireland. I would guess he obtained his citizenship in San Francisco shortly before 1890 and there should be naturalization records there that would provide the info you seek. johnwolcott@mail.com
