The name Walch means in alsatian dialect: of french origin or speaking french. The origin of my family is located in Carspach since around 1700. A study has been published in a french book: old families of sundgau, including several families : glass makers, merchant, basket-maker etc. a small sketch of a coat of arms is also included. If you are intereseted i could try to sent it.
Walchly yours!!
