Hi John,

Your comment about the Walch family going to England with William of Orange caught my eye. The earliest I've been able to place my Walch family is about 1800 in Yorkshire, England. My gg grandfather Thomas Walch was born in Sheffield about 1825. His father was born about 1800, but we don't know where but suspect in the same area. Thomas came to the United States in 1854.

For what it's worth, I had been told that our Walch line was from Wales.

Do you have specific information on the family after their arrival in England that may tie to my family?

Best Wishes,

Susan
