Hello Rebecca,

My Walch family was from Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. My gg grandfather, Thomas Walch came to USA in 1854. His father, also named Thomas was born about 1800 in England had several sons including a William. I don't have William's spouse's name, but they had five sons: Edwin Arthur, Maurice born in 1852, William, Jr. born in 1857, James Walker born in 1861, and Thomas Edward born in 1863. Thomas Edward died in 1894 in Yorkshire. I do not have any location where the others died.

Could any of these migrated to Australia?

I'm interested in developing information on the family prior to Thomas, born about 1800. I know there are members of the family still living in the Sheffield area.

Best Wishes,

Susan
