Hi Rebecca,
I only have one William Walch in my tree and he went the wrong way. He was born in Tasmania and married in England. He had 4 sons all of whom were killed in the Wars. I have one list that shows a William in Tasmania who married Kate Sangwell in 16 Nov 1868 and they had a son called William in 1870 and one called David in 1879. also 3 daughters,Letitia,Kate and Elizabeth.
I can post this list to you if you send your address. It is too big to type and I don't have a scanner.
Also send a message to Phil Walch. He is on the forum and he has information on the other main 'Walch'mob in Tas.
Best Wishes and keep plugging away, you'll get somewhere sometime
John
