Nancy Dewey Rice posted some information at one time on "Walbridge in Robinson Gen Book" A number of the names are for Vermont. This is not my line but there are two John Walbridges mentioned:

John Walbridge b June 21 1779 Bennington Vermont

Joihn Walbridge b Oct 3, 1786 in Bennington Vermont.

It doesn't specifiy in my notes but one of the John's married Mary Reynolds of Cambridge Vermont.

Either John could certainly be the father of your Selah born 1815.

I would think if you contact her she can provide you with more definitive information.
