I am a fifth generation Australian of the Wakley family from England. My G G Grandfather immiggrated from England as a Stone Mason. (Marcus Wakley).
Have recently had contact from a branch of my family still in England.
Apparently my G G Grandfather was to board a boat to California, however, cost was 13pound sixpence. He could board a boat to OZ for nothing. I am told branches of our family migrated to America.
