Garrett Dubois Wakeman, of Lackawack, Ulster County, NY, m. in Neversink, NY, 1829, Phebe Gorton (b. Aug. 5, 1811; d. Dec 18, 1881), dau. of William Gorton and Margaret Tombs, of Neversink, NY.
He was son of Marcus Wakeman,
of New Paltz, m. Laura Van Nostrand (b. Oct 31, 1787; d. March 19, 1876), dau. of Casparus Van Nostrand and Eva Frelinghuysen.
Marcus was son of Henry Wakeman who m. Lydia Hart.
Henry was son of Daniel Wakeman who m. Antze Cool, Jan 11, 1777. In September 1786, Daniel Wakeman, of New Paltz, a farmer, is witness of a will for Joshua Decker.
