I am descended from William Luther Waits (thru my mother, Mary C. Waits) and have been trying to surface historical information on his great grandfather, Madison Waits, to figure out what became of him between Fall of 1861 and 1865. Believe that several of his children, specifically, William Madison Waits and Warren Waits were born during this period. From your note earlier, it appears that William Madison was born in Dekalb Cty in 1862. Do you have anything on when and where Warren Waits was born?
I am very interested in hearing about your other information on the early Waits family history from SC and once you are settled within your new home and have your computer and software up and running again, I would like to exchange information with you. I am just beginning my research and don't have a lot of original material yet.
