This doesn't sound like my Furby/Farabee/Feribee family. We know they came from Kent Co. DE and were probably English Quakers. Part of this family also migrated to WV where there is still a large presence today. Thanks again for your interest. The name Waitman or Watemen (and sometimes Waterman) was used in several of the family lines in DE. It could be that it was a surname at some point, but we haven't found any indication of that yet.
